TelescopeSlewToAltAzAsync Method

This Method must be implemented if CanSlewAltAzAsync returns True.

Namespace:  ASCOM.DriverAccess
Assembly:  ASCOM.DriverAccess (in ASCOM.DriverAccess.dll) Version: 3351c4f3fa64146a7efd5b51ed4591e32a0a5484
Syntax
public void SlewToAltAzAsync(
	double Azimuth,
	double Altitude
)

Parameters

Azimuth
Type: SystemDouble
Azimuth to which to move
Altitude
Type: SystemDouble
Altitude to which to move to

Implements

ITelescopeV3SlewToAltAzAsync(Double, Double)
Exceptions
ExceptionCondition
MethodNotImplementedExceptionIf the method is not implemented and CanSlewAltAzAsync is False
InvalidValueExceptionIf an invalid azimuth or elevation is given.
ParkedExceptionIf the telescope is parked
NotConnectedExceptionIf the device is not connected
DriverExceptionAn error occurred that is not described by one of the more specific ASCOM exceptions. The device did not successfully complete the request.
Remarks
This method should only be implemented if the properties Altitude, Azimuth, RightAscension, Declination and Slewing can be read while the scope is slewing. Raises an error if starting the slew fails. Returns immediately after starting the slew. The client may monitor the progress of the slew by reading the Azimuth, Altitude, and Slewing properties during the slew. When the slew completes, Slewing becomes False. The slew may fail if the target coordinates are beyond limits imposed within the driver component. Such limits include mechanical constraints imposed by the mount or attached instruments, building or dome enclosure restrictions, etc. The TargetRightAscension and TargetDeclination properties are not changed by this method.

Raises an error if AtPark is True, or if Tracking is True.

This is only available for telescope InterfaceVersions 2 and later.
