The Observer type exposes the following members.

 | NearEarth | Data for an observer's location on a near-Earth spacecraft (where = 2) |
| OnSurf | Data for an observer's location on the surface of the Earth (where = 1) |
| Where | Code specifying the location of the observer: 0=at geocenter; 1=surface of earth; 2=near-earth spacecraft |
